Boudoir photography is a powerful and transformative experience! I will never get tired of saying it, but I TRULY believe it is something you should do at least once in your lifetime. But, many misconceptions still surround it! These prevent soooo many people from exploring boudoir photography, and falling in love with something truly transforming! You are wonderfully made and absolutely perfect just the way you are. One of the biggest boudoir myths is that boudoir photography is only for young, fit, small, tiny, individuals. This couldn’t be further from the truth!! It is soooo far from the truth, it hurts my heart that this is even floating out there.
Boudoir is for EVERYONE and EVERY BODY. Regardless of age, body type, fitness level, anything. The essence of boudoir photography is to celebrate YOU as you are. Celebrate and honor your body, in every single way, exactly as you are! Every body is a boudoir body. You don’t need to be a size 0 or be in the best shape of your life, you just need to be YOU!
Myth 2: You Have to Be Nude
While being nude is always an option, it is not the ONLY option. Boudoir is about capturing sensuality and confidence, not necessarily nudity. You can choose to wear a spicy new lingerie set, a fancy robe, or your favorite oversized sweater, wrap yourself in just the sheet, or go completely nude. What you decide to wear, or not wear, is entirely up to YOU! Whatever you are comfortable with, is more than enough for me.
